World Radio Day - Celebrating a Century of Sound
 Did you know, today, February 13th, is World Radio Day?
 That's right, friends! It's a day to celebrate the incredible journey of radio, a technology that has shaped communication, entertainment, and culture for over a century.
 The story of radio starts with scientists like Guglielmo Marconi, who experimented with sending and receiving wireless signals in the late 19th century. These early sparks gave birth to a revolutionary new way to transmit information.
In eighteen ninety : The first radio transmission is sent across the English Channel.
 Then Radio Exploded!
In the  nineteen twenties : Commercial radio stations begin broadcasting in the US.
 We then had the famous the Roosevelt's fireside chats,  and In Kenya... the famous Leonard Mambo Mbotelas' "Je? Huu ni Ungwana? 
 In the 20th century, radio exploded in popularity. It brought news and entertainment directly into homes, becoming a vital source of information and connection radio captured audiences like nothing before.

 Today, radio has evolved beyond the traditional AM and FM dials. With podcasts, online streaming, and mobile apps, radio reaches more people than ever before. It continues to inform, entertain, and connect communities worldwide . Podcasts and online radio offer diverse content on demand.

 So, why celebrate World Radio Day?
 It's a reminder of the power of this medium to unite, inform, and inspire. It's a chance to appreciate the rich history of radio and its continued relevance in our modern world.
We celebrate and remind ourselves how far we have come.
